8th Annual ALL-STAR CLASSIC

AGAIN THIS YEAR
We will again have some out-of-state judges with AYOP judging
experience at this year’s contest! The purpose is to provide the opportunity
for you to be judged and receive comments from new judges.
Due to the overwhelming positive feedback from last year, we are going to
continue the set system for both Super X-Strut and Solo events as it helps
speed up the event as well as guarantee more time for each twirler between
their events. As this is still new to a lot of twirlers in the state, we
will make sure to “walk” everyone through during the contest.
ENTRY DEADLINE
Monday, February 25th, 2008.
All entries must be postmarked by this date. No entries will be taken after
this deadline or the morning of the contest.
LOCATION & TIMES
Santa Fe Community College Gymnasium - Gainesville, Florida
Doors open at 7:30am and contest begins promptly at 8:30am. Individual
competition will compete first. Group events will start at 4:00pm or 10
minutes following the solo competition, whichever is later.
ADMISSION & PROCEEDS
There will be no door admission fees. We encourage as many people as
possible to attend to support the sport of baton twirling! All profits from
the entry fees, admission fees and concession stands will benefit the
All-American Twirling Academy in Gainesville, Florida and the University of
Florida Gatorettes. Thank you for your support.

Note - we will email out confirmations (both individual and group) a few
days before the contest so please include your email on the entry form.
INDIVIDUAL EVENT ORDER AND AGES
The schedule of events for individual competition will be as
follows:
Modeling - Fancy X Strut - Basic & Military Strut - Solos -
2 & 3 Baton - Flag - Duet - Rhythmic Twirl
Age groups based on your age as of 9/1/07 and will be divided into the
following divisions - 0-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16+. Each age division will
also be divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
ADDITIONAL CONTEST INFORMATION
* No flash photographs allowed in the gymnasium
* Video taping is limited to your child’s routines only. No taping of others
without permission. This includes group competition.
* NBTA rules, judges and score sheets will be used.
* Score sheets and awards will be available during the contest upon
tabulation except for the Pageant events.
* Beginner/Intermediate contestants in the Miss Florida All-Star Classic
Pageant must wear their modeling costume for either strut or solo. Only
Advanced contestants will model in dress.
* No refunds or credits
* Contest directors and the SFCC are not responsible for accidents, property
loss or injury.
PROGRAM BOOK
Program books, complete with lane assignments and group order, will be
available. Design and write your own “Good Luck” ad.
1/4 page (5” x 3.5”)- $8 - 1/2 page (5” x 7”)- $12 - Full page (10” x 7”)

The deadline and mailing information for program book ads are the same as
for entries. Please either have camera-ready art work or draw your ad on
plain white paper with black ink.
AWARDS
Individual Events
Beginner-Advanced - 1st-3rd place trophies, 4th & 5th place ribbons
Novice - First through third place medals
Pageant Events - Winners will receive a trophy and banner. 2nd and 3rd place
finishers will receive trophies.
Group Events - 1st-3rd place trophies
